Guilford County, NC body scanners prevent guns in schools
Guilford County Schools is launching a trial of Evolv Express touchless body scanners to detect and deter hidden guns. The trial run of the scanners will occur during summer session at two local schools. The county will also be holding two open houses where community members, students, and staff can give feedback on the scanners. If the trial is successful, the county will lease the scanners for high schools across the district at the cost of $750,000 to $1 million per year.
