Herstal, WLG created the Living Together Platform to help vulnerable residents during COVID-19
The City of Herstal created the "Herstal Living Together Platform" to help senior citizens and other vulnerable residents during the COVID-19 pandemic. The primary function of the platform was to offer a shopping assistance service for residents that needed help acquiring food, medications, and household supplies during the pandemic lockdowns. The platform also provided isolated residents with a phone service to reduce loneliness and receive helpful advice.

Herstal, WLG launched a trade voucher campaign to promote local shopping
The City of Herstal launched a trade voucher campaign to support small businesses by promoting local shopping. For each trader voucher purchased from a local business, shoppers receive a 20% discount in more than 60 participating businesses. Each €10 trade voucher costs €8 and there is a maximum amount of 60 trade vouchers allowed per household. The trade vouchers can be exchanged as a local currency at any of the participating local businesses.
