Hjørring, DK addresses shortage of skilled workers for senior center with new training program
Hjørring identifies newcomers to the country who are interested in new careers in health fields. An initial cohort of five workers first learned about Danish office culture before acquiring new skills at Vesterlund. Trainees started in a single department on basic janitorial and patient care tasks before expanding to other departments based on their acquired skills. This program assists with Hjørring's immigrant integration efforts while building a reliable pipeline for new talent.
