Idaho Falls, ID considers Residential Water Conservation Pilot Program for select households
Idaho Falls, ID Residential Water Conservation Pilot
The proposed pilot compares water usage in 100 households over two years. Smart meters monitor water consumption in the first year. Water Division staffers work with homeowners to identify fixtures for replacement before the second year. Each household is reimbursed $500 for recommended fixtures and $500 for professional installation. Reduced water consumption in the second year would be used to determine the most effective types of interventions.
