The city of Ithaca is partnering with BlocPower to electrify every single building in the city by 2030. The city will expand rooftop solar power to make the local electric grid 100% carbon-free and use short-term loans to help residents shift from gas to electric home appliances. The project will decarbonize approximately 6,000 homes and buildings which is estimated to reduce the city's carbon emissions by 40%.
