Joensuu, FI completes bike-share pilots in city center that encouraged emissions-free transit

The city and the University of Eastern Finland partnered on the five-month pilot. Sixty EASYBIKE units at 13 locations were accessed through the mobile app. EASYBIKE doesn't use docks for its bikes but GPS tracking limits pick-up and drop-off locations. Joensuu worked with the bike-share service during a similar pilot in 2019. Data from the two pilots will be used to plan bike infrastructure projects in the city.
