Kingston, SA strengthens its reputation as an employer of choice with Active Ambassadors program
Kingston's 10-year plan calls for employees as active ambassadors for a healthy workplace. Council teams designed calendars with safety and wellness tips for their colleagues in 2022 and 2023. Collaborations with area organizations resulted in awareness videos for health and well-being efforts. Public employees support local sports clubs, nonprofits, and other organizations during community events. Active Ambassadors follow council values of community, courage, and respect in every project.

Kingston, SA improves accessibility at local beaches with Boat Ramp on a Roll Project
Council leaders worked with Faun Trackway on an Australian-first deployment of mobile track technology. The 30-meter aluminum track - typically used for military and humanitarian missions - was deployed for beach access at Johnston Avenue. The Boat Ramp on a Roll enables vehicles of all types to launch boats without a permanent dock. Kingston benefits from minimal maintenance costs, easy removal during inclement weather, and seasonal rotations to other locations.
