Kyle, TX reduces staff time on litter pickup and park sanitation tasks with automated robot pilot

The city approved a one-year contract with Mekaworks to deploy an automated robot to handle park cleanup tasks. A technician will program the robot based on park layouts and provide maintenance during the pilot. Kyle can divert 10 full-time staffers and hours from 10 more employees to more complicated tasks as the robot keeps green spaces clean. This pilot also reduces city employee exposure to COVID-19.
