Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, CN undertakes smart parking upgrades with Blue Intelligence LPA project

City parking service SAGULPA plans the installation of in-ground sensors for 3,000 spaces across seven lots. Real-time occupancy data from these sensors will be fed into 21 digital boards as well as the LPA Parking app. The first round of Blue Intelligence LPA upgrades took place in September 2021 with the addition of 352 sensors. Transit officials anticipate reduced emissions and congestion as well as increased commuter satisfaction once the system is complete.
