L'Assomption, QC created an interactive map for residents to use as a flood risk awareness tool
The City of L'Assomption collaborated with the University of Montreal ARIACTION research group to develop a new flood risk awareness tool. The interactive map allows residents to check if their home is one of the 300 local homes located in a L'Assomption River flood zone. The city produced downloadable door hangers which will be distributed to residences located in flood zones to raise awareness. Residents can consult the flood-prone map on the city's website for more information.

L'Assomption, QC is modernizing its public lighting network with smart LED technology
The City of L'Assomption is modernizing its public lighting network with an environmentally friendly solution that improves road safety. The city will install LED technology and an intelligent lighting management system into its 641 light fixtures. The new bulbs will last five times longer, reduce intrusive residential lighting and emit a comfortable white light. The city will be able to remotely manage the entire lighting system in real-time to optimize efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
