Grimsby, ON and Lincoln share resources with Niagara West Fire & Emergency Services pilot

Grimsby and Lincoln pursued this pilot to serve a growing population without significant budget increases. A working group of local officials has worked since 2020 on the shared service. The pilot's first phase evaluates a shared fire department for at least two years. A Joint Advisory Committee and a Fire Master Plan coordinate the work done by this department. Niagara West Fire & Emergency Services will expand to other emergency services following approval by town councils.
