Lincolnshire County Council, GB trials smart wearables for residents living with dementia
Lincolnshire Police selected East Lindsey District Council for a pilot of smart wristband technology. Six hundred residents living with dementia received free wristbands programmed with emergency contact information. Police officers encountering lost pilot participants can scan wristbands with their mobile devices and contact family members. This technology and Dementia Friends training for the county's Safer Together Team raise awareness while protecting resident safety.
