The city of Linz created a new online citizen participation and innovation platform where anyone can submit their ideas. If any submitted idea receives 50 likes within two months the Linz Innovation Main Square connects the submission with the relevant department and supports them in the idea's implementation. The results can be viewed transparently on the website. There is also the opportunity to network with other idea providers, form teams, and actively participate in the city's projects.

Linz, OOE offers free cargo bike rentals at the library to help residents transport heavy loads
The city of Linz is allowing residents to borrow cargo bikes for free in order to transport heavy loads. The city created this option to offer residents an environmentally-friendly alternative to cars. The city's cargo bikes can be borrowed by anyone of legal age who is a customer of the city library. Reservations can be made online and cargo bikes can be borrowed for up to a week at a time.
