London Borough of Bromley, GB partners with Veolia on above-shop flat recycling trial
Two hundred participants place their recyclables in Veolia sacks for collection. The weekly recycling schedule alternates between paper and plastic, glass, and metal. Tenants in flats above shops currently drop off recycling at public events due to a lack of on-street bins and collections. Borough officials are using the six-month trial to determine if recycling collection is feasible for 1,500 flats in Bromley. The pilot also compares the functionality of recycling sacks to household bins.
