Los Angeles, CA is planning a stormwater capture project to add wetlands to MacArthur Park Lake

Los Angeles, CA stormwater capture wetlands

Planning

The Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks is partnering with LA Sanitation & Environment on a stormwater capture project proposal. The project involves using the MacArthur Park Lake to capture and store stormwater flows and dry weather flows from the city's storm drain system. This new wetlands system would decrease the need for potable water to maintain the lake's water level while also removing pollutants.
