Middletown, OH considers building a portable pallet shelter village to help the homeless population

Middletown, OH portable pallet homeless shelter village

Ideation

The City of Middletown is considering using $919,000 of its American Rescue Plan Act funds to purchase 64 portable pallet homes to help the local homeless population. The pallet homes would provide a safe and comfortable transitional environment for homeless individuals to live and receive services. The city is reviewing possible locations for the pallet shelter village favoring access to the city's bus route, an industrial park, and a parking lot.
