Mitcham, SA expands availability of sustainable and resilient home energy with ShineHub partnership

Mitcham, SA ShineHub Sustainable Resilient Home Energy

Complete

The Community Renewable Energy Program responds to resident concerns about blackouts and household carbon footprints. ShineHub handled resident applications for a bulk purchase of solar panels and batteries with no upfront costs. Participants in the program's Virtual Power Plant send excess energy back to their neighborhood grids in exchange for premium payments. The program creates 5.5-megawatt hours of new capacity without carbon emissions or expensive infrastructure.
