Mogale City, GP staves off poverty and food insecurity with Homestead Food Garden Project
This collaboration with provincial officials selected participants in rural areas of the city. Each participant received a farm starter kit with seeds, tools, and fertilizer. Project leaders taught participants to grow home gardens during community meetings. Follow-up visits allow city and provincial officials to confirm the proper use of gardening resources. The Homestead Food Garden Project empowers participants to avoid food insecurity and hunger.
