Mosman, NSW upgrades solar panels at Sports Centre to improve generation and decrease emissions
Mosman, NSW Sports Centre Solar Panels Upgrade
The project replaced a past generation of panels with a system capable of producing 68,000 kilowatt-hours per year. The Mosman Sports Centre achieves a 70% increase in power generation with the new system. Council officials also note a 27% decrease in energy consumption and an annual carbon emission savings of 61 tons. A data display in the facility shows hour-by-hour generation and consumption trends. Mosman worked with PV Industries to recycle or repurpose the previous panels.
