Moultrie, GA launched a "Silly Walk" trail campaign to encourage physical activity among visitors
The Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Authority (MCCPRA) launched a "Silly Walk" trail in celebration of National Walking Day. The MCCPRA placed eleven signs around Main Street Park each describing rules for a "silly walk" including soldier walk, crab walk, ballerina walk, etc. The "Silly Walk" trail was designed to encourage park visitors to engage in physical activity. The MCCPRA plans to rotate the "silly walks" each month tailored to seasons and specific holidays.
