Multnomah County, OR Wood Burning Exchange Stove Replacement

In Progress

County officials estimate approximately 3,500 households use wood stoves for heating. This heating source reduces indoor air quality and contributes to health problems. The pilot offers financial assistance for selected households to swap stoves for electric heat pumps. Multnomah County selected four pilot neighborhoods based on income levels and indoor stove use. Applicants are eligible for rebates starting at $3,000 and up to the full cost of stove replacement.
