New Haven, CT hosts annual event to encourage residents to go car-free
The annual CarFree Challenge uses public events and discounts to local businesses to encourage commuting by carpool, foot, bike, or public transit. The "You Can Get There From Here" map created in a previous year's challenge shows car alternatives for commuting to popular stops.
