Ogdensburg, NY launches Individual Assistance Program to help with home improvement projects
The Ogdensburg City Council unanimously approved the use of American Rescue Plan Act funds to launch the Individual Assistance Program to improve housing. The program will grant property owners up to $5,000 per project for exterior or interior improvements to homes within city limits. Homeowners can apply though the municipal website and funding will be granted based on total household income from 2020 or 2021.

Ogdensburg, NY approved a 0.5% sales tax-sharing deal with St. Lawrence County
The Ogdensburg City Council unanimously approved a tax-sharing deal with St. Lawrence County that will see the city receive 0.5% of county sales tax collected within city limits. City officials are continuing to pursue an arrangement in which the full 1% of extra sales tax revenue would be directed to the city instead being split with the county.

Ogdensburg, NY plans four-day pilot program to test consolidating police dispatch to the county 911
The City of Ogdensburg is launching a four-day pilot program during which it will transfer all late-night shift emergency calls and dispatch to the St. Lawrence County 911. The pilot program will test the feasibility of consolidating all future Ogdensburg police dispatching into the county 911 center which experts estimate could generate $250,000 in savings for the city.
