The city of Omaha is partnering with Automotus to deploy 100 smart loading zones to maximize curbside usage. The smart loading zones will include surveillance cameras gathering data on the length of parking duration and the types of vehicle using the curb. The Automotus technology will read license plates and automatically bill drivers eliminating the need for mobile apps or parking meters.
