The city's CustomerConnect pilot used advanced meter infrastructure (AMI) to help 300 households monitor their utility usage. Each participant tracked hourly electrical usage through a dedicated dashboard. CustomerConnect also switched participating households to a time-of-use rate that encouraged reduced power consumption during high-demand periods.
Project Succeeded
The city adopted AMI for all of its utility customers starting in 2021 with an estimated date of completion in 2024.
