Paris, IDF Enedis Electrical Terminals Reduce Carbon Events

Six electrical terminals will be installed throughout Paris ahead of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Each in-ground terminal can be raised and lowered based on the needs of public event organizers. Terminals at the Trocadéro, Place de la Concorde, and Champ de Mars replace diesel-powered generators used in the past for mobile power. The project reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 90% compared to diesel and provides power for community events beyond 2024.

Energy-saving electrical power terminals to be installed in time for Paris 2024

Electricity company Enedis is installing electrical terminals across Paris prior to the city's hosting of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in what is described as a "true illustration of the legacy" of the events.
