Parkland County added 20 towers to distribute high-speed Internet from Magnolia in the northwest to Pioneer in the southeast. The county works with multiple Internet providers and uses three tower sizes to comply with local needs. Parkland County joined with three surrounding counties to develop rural Internet networks using similar technology. The Smart Parkland initiative places rural connectivity among its six pillars.
