Port Huron, MI uses federal ARPA funding for expanded telehealth services to local families
City council members approved $148,000 for a year-long pilot of Talkspace subscriptions. Each subscription includes monthly video therapy and real-time messaging. This pilot provides coverage for 133 residents aged 14 and over. Parents and guardians also access self-guided lessons and live weekly classes through the Parenting Guide from Lasting app. Port Huron and St. Clair Community Mental Health partnered on the pilot due to concerns about mental health access in the region.
