Seventy-five percent of emergency room visits in Porto Alegre involve non-emergency ailments. The three-month pilot provides 24-hour access to telemedicine solutions through a dedicated portal. Porto Alegre selected eight services including Docway, TopMed, and Teledoc for the challenge. The city's Innovation Office and Municipal Health Department will evaluate the effectiveness of each solution before selecting a permanent partner.

Porto Alegre, RS launched an automated system to digitally issue urban permits within 24 hours
Porto Alegre City Hall's Municipal Secretary for the Environment, Urbanism, and Sustainability introduced a new automated system for approving urban permits. Users can request the new Express Licensing feature for civil construction works with low to medium urban impacts via the Porto Alegre City Hall Licensing Portal. Any correctly filed project submissions will receive license authorization within 24 hours to facilitate the installation of new businesses in the city.
