Princeton, TX improves infrastructure resliency and sustainability with smart streetlight project
Princeton added 37 EnGo Solar Street Lights throughout the Municipal Park adjacent to the Municipal Center. Each light is powered by a solar-paneled cover without a connection to the utility grid. City officials selected this smart fixture because it requires minimal installation and continues operation during power outages. Princeton Municipal Park acts as a testbed for smart technology with resilient lighting and chargers for electric vehicles.
