Pueblo County, CO shifting to nuclear energy

Ideation

Pueblo County officials are discussing the possibility of shifting to nuclear energy in response to the closing of a local power plant. The proposed benefits include the ability to generate large amounts of energy in a very small footprint without producing carbon emissions. In order to generate the same amount of solar energy as the previous power plant, officials claim it would require 7,000 football fields worth of solar panels.
