The City Hall of Rio de Janeiro's Municipal Secretariat for Community Action launched Recicla Comunidade program as part of the larger the Favela com Dignidade program. The Recicla Comunidade program offers residents of communities that deliver recyclable waste at collection points a social currency credit which can be used in more than 100 participating commercial establishments.
