Visitors to the council's CBD can find and pay for parking through the PayStay app. Parking vacancies near shops and offices are updated live thanks to 500 in-ground sensors. The sensors use solar-powered devices in local sign poles to connect with PayStay via public Wi-Fi. This system identifies available unloading zones and assists with parking enforcement. Council officials approved digital signs outside of car parks to indicate vacancies for those without the app.
