Grand Forks, BC creates the Service Sustainability Assessment Tool to evaluate departmental progress
The Excel-based SSAT allows city departments that oversee eight service areas to conduct self-assessments. A 15-minute evaluation places current services on a 0-to-3 scale in terms of finances, service delivery, and governance. The results include a trend evaluation, the percentage of goals completed, and an overall sustainability grade. Grand Forks made SSAT available to all local governments after working with neighboring communities on revisions.
