Salinas, CA Community Alliance for Safety and Peace leveraged resources to reduce youth violence
The City of Salinas and Montgomery County created the Community Alliance for Safety and Peace (CASP) Strategic Work Plan committee to leverage resources to reduce youth violence. CASP collaborated with the Monterey County Public Health Department to launch a program which actively tracks 24 major data points to inform youth/gang violence prevention, intervention, and enforcement strategies.

Salinas, CA consolidate resources for new ventures on the Small Business Support website
The website features flowcharts of the licensing application process from start to finish. Small business owners find to-do lists for successful applications in the virtual Business Guide. Salinas compiled local, state, and federal business support resources on the website. A COVID-19 update page equips the business community with public health signage, outdoor permit applications, and local testing information.
