Village officials devoted 16 spaces each to smart meters from POM, IDS Group, T2 Systems, and MacKay Meters. Business district visitors were asked to evaluate meters in a phone or online survey. Each meter type was labeled with a color to make identification easier during the survey. Participants who rated all four meters and included phone numbers were entered into a gift certificate drawing.
