Somerset County, NJ initiates Electric Vehicle Readiness Plan with EV fleet purchases
The county began its fleet replacement process with an initial purchase of four Chevy Bolt EVs. County officials plan to purchase at least four EVs per year until the fleet consists of 100% zero-emission vehicles. The Somerville county parking facility hosts EV chargers dedicated to fleet vehicles. Somerset County added an EV charger for public use outside the Somerville complex. The readiness plan calls for county-level demand analysis to target additional charger locations.
