The Eurometropolis of Strasbourg created a new subsidy to help residents purchase electric bicycles and electrically-assisted cargo bikes. Every adult resident is eligible and the subsidy amount ranges from €300-500 depending on the applicant's Family Quotient calculated by the Family Allowance Fund. The electric bicycle or electrically-assisted cargo bike purchase must be made from a local reseller-distributor that is a depositary of the "Partenaire Véloptimiste" brand.

The Eurometropolis of Strasbourg launched the "Flex'hop" on-demand electric mini-bus service system as an alternative to private car transportation for residents. The Flex'hop public transport service offers free travel to 270 stops in the Strasbourg metropolitan area. The trips are built according to reservations on the Flex'hop mobile app and routes are optimized with the bookings of other travelers registered in the same sector.
