Strathcona County, AB "Adopt a Storm Drain" resident program

Strathcona County launched the "Adopt a Storm Drain" program which encourages residents to keep their neighbourhood storm drains clean. The program was designed to address the issue of blocked residential storm drains due to leaves, gravel, litter, etc. Participants can select an unadopted storm drain from an interactive map on the county's website by registering their contact information. Once a storm drain has been adopted users can provide it a custom name on the map.
