City officials approved a $1 million fund to counter a 30% year-to-year increase in local rents. The income limit for participating households was 140% of the area median income. Successful applicants received funding for security deposits, monthly rental subsidies, and required payments for first and last months' rent. RMAP included financial literacy and budgeting courses for pilot participants.
