Tampere, FI establishes circular procurement standards for Yliopistonkatu renovation project

Tampere, FI Yliopistonkatu Circular Procurement Standards

In Progress

Municipal officials set reuse and recycling goals for vendors involved in the street's renovation. These standards are the first of their type in Finland. Selected contractors are given leeway to determine how they reduce the estimated 1,000 truckloads of new material used in a project of this size. The Yliopistonkatu standards offer a model for reducing construction costs and waste during public works projects.
