The City of Edinburgh Council, GB advances net-zero affordable housing with Home Demonstrator pilot
The City of Edinburgh Council, GB Home Demonstrator Pilot
CCG Scotland is working with Edinburgh on a 75-unit project along the Granton Waterfront. Renters will experience lower electrical bills than other units thanks to air-tight designs and triple-glazed windows. The Granton D1 building operates with minimal emissions thanks to air-source heat pumps and an on-site solar installation. City officials view the Edinburgh Home Demonstrator as an important step in building 20,000 affordable homes - including 3,000 net-zero homes - by 2027.
