City-owned Forum Virium works with project partners to connect drone manufacturers with local governments. Prospective participants are invited to workshops that explore how drones can be deployed in new areas. The two-year project builds on initial pilots by Helsinki's construction and fire rescue services. These pilots are tasked with reducing emissions in tasks like monitoring oil pipelines and transporting equipment during emergencies.
