Weiz, STE administered surveys, interviews, and focus groups to develop a regional health profile
The city of Weiz partnered with the ÖGK-Styria health insurance fund and the non-profit health promotion organization Styria vitalis to develop a regional health profile. The pilot used health assessment questionnaires, telephone interviews, and focus groups with residents across all age groups. The questions related to topics such as exercise, nutrition, mental health, community life and living environment. The city will use this information to adapt and improve regional health services.

Weiz, STE created a local edition of the Cities mobile app to promote community engagement
The Municipality of Weiz created a local edition of the Cities mobile app to promote communication between local businesses, regional producers, and tourism with customers and visitors. The Cities mobile app enables users to actively participate in the community by staying informed on local news, events, clubs, associations, sales, etc. The municipality launched a promotion in which every new user in 2021 was entered into a raffle for a prize of Weiz vouchers worth 5,000 euros.

Weiz, STE WeizBike mobile app allows users to reserve available and charged e-bikes in advance
The city of Weiz developed the WeizBike mobile app to improve the convenience of the WeizBike bicycle rental system. The WeizBike app allows users to see how many e-bikes are available at each rental station, review their current battery level, and reserve an e-bike up to 30 minutes in advance. The first hour is free with every WeizBike rental and after that the rental fee is 1 euro per hour.

Weiz, STE "Energy Show Points" event to engage/educate residents on the topic of energy efficiency
The Municipality of Weiz launched the "Energy Show Points" event to showcase municipal services and offers in the field of energy efficiency. The event included 18 energy showcase informational boards displayed at various locations including the innovation center, sewage treatment plant, etc. Participants were encouraged to tour the showcase using Weiz e-bikes and learn about energy efficiency by completing an app-based scavenger hunt.
