Each section contains planned council projects and metrics for success as established in Wellington's Sustainability Strategy 2020-24.

Wellington, VIC modernizes council-owned livestock exchange with online auctions

The Shire Council teamed with Stocklive to stream online auctions for the council-owned Gippsland Regional Livestock Exchange (GRLE). Local officials adopted the auction format to expand the GRLE's reach beyond Victoria. Wellington's 2018 acquisition of GRLE was followed by creative steps like weekly Facebook videos and a Steakholder Forum for livestock owners.
