Residents aged 50 and older who identify as LGBTIA and earn less than $41,400 per year can apply for the program. West Hollywood, CA City Council approved the highest minimum wage in the country of $17.64 an hour

The West Hollywood City Council voted unanimously to raise the city's minimum wage to $17.64 which is the highest in the country. The wage hike will begin in January and gradually increase every six months until July 2023. The ordinance also expands paid vacation, sick and personal time for workers. The ordinance allows employers that can show that the wage hike would shut down their business to request a one-year waiver.
