The Yonkers Office for the Aging partnered with the New York State Office for the Aging and the Westchester County Department of Senior Programs and Services to launch a pilot that uses robotic pets to reduce rates of social isolation and depression among senior citizens. Every three months assessments are conducted to examine the impact of robotic pets on loneliness and depression.
