These wastewater samples are not influenced by limited test availability and detect the virus in untested asymptomatic individuals.

The City of Wiesbaden launched the "1 for 3!" voucher gift campaign to encourage local shopping. The Department of Economy and Employment gives customers that shop at local retailers the opportunity to use the “Wiesbaden voucher” worth 20 euros as a loyalty bonus if they keep their receipts. Approximately 90 local businesses have agreed to be acceptance points for the vouchers including clothing and furniture stores, cultural institutions, restaurants, and service providers.

The City of Wiesbaden partnered with Deutsche Bahn to launch the free Rad+ mobile bike app. When the GPS is switched on and the Rad+ app is activated, the system detects that someone is moving on a bicycle. The kilometers driven are registered and can be exchanged for discounts with campaign partners such as local shops and cafés. The Rad+ app is part of the city's “Fresh Wind for Wiesbaden” campaign, which advocates for more climate protection, climate adaptation and cycling.
