Kiama, NSW Dementia Friendly Kiama Initiative

Kiama Council works with the University of Wollongong and Alzheimer's Australia to educate local businesses about dementia. The council offers training sessions to organizations and businesses on how to be a Dementia Friend. The Dementia Council uses input from residents with dementia to inform transportation options and community activities. Residents can also record dementia-friendly businesses and charities through the Our Place mapping platform.
