A review of the city's permit policies found a complicated and user-unfriendly system facing applicants. Adelaide started this project by consolidating 42 fees into a simpler eight-fee structure. An online Business Wizard lists the permits required for a particular business based on answers to a few basic questions. The permitting process is further simplified with a single contact point, an online fee calculator, and a streamlined online application system.
